About

Who We Are

SEIE (Southeast Idaho Equine) has two locations: Pocatello and Robin Farm.

Situated on eight acres of at the base foothills and the Cusick Creek runout, SEIE Pocatello is a quiet, intimate oasis. With private practice, group, and equine session spaces, SEIE Pocatello is the main hub for SEIE events and patient resources.

Just southwest of McCammon, Idaho, and at the base of Old Tom Mountain, SEIE Robin Farm offers an equally private and quiet space for groups and businesses to experience the therapeutic power of nature.

Hailey N. Martinez - Ph. D., LCPC, ACS

I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Idaho as well as a registered supervisor for the state of Idaho and nationally credentialed as an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).

I work full-time as a Counselor Educator and professor at Grand Canyon University, and I received my master’s and doctorate in Counselor Education and Counseling from Idaho State University.

My clinical emphasis is in trauma work, working with the Latinx Spanish speaking population, and survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault and their families.

I’ve also worked with military folks, intellectually delayed sex offenders, and personality disorders. My approach to clinical work is through a Relational Cultural Theory (RCT) framework and incorporate adventure-based counseling, eco-therapy, mindfulness, yoga, and equine therapy into my practice.

My scholarly work includes trauma (i.e., secondary trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, vicarious trauma, complex trauma), supervision, mindfulness, mentorship, spirituality, and equine in counselor education. I deeply value the relationships created through learning environments and shared knowledge; Social Constructivism and Sentipensante (thinking and feeling) frameworks deeply influence my method of practice and teaching.

Multiculturalism and social justice both influence my clinical work and classroom settings; I encourage my students to view each topic through this lens. I enjoy working with clients and students in and out of the classroom and the mentoring process.

I live in Southeastern Idaho with my two sons, husband, and seven horses. Trail running, mountain biking, rock climbing, white water rafting, downhill and cross country skiing, horseback riding, hiking, and anything I can get out and do that with my family are my favorite pastimes. I also value my spirituality and incorporate this into my daily self-care practice.
